Wow times passes real fast....celebrated my 37th birthday in office. But this time round FYM short of "Y" cos Yvonne was in the hospital.

Fanny did a very nice birthday cake for me...thank you very much!!! Really appreciate it!!!

Bye Bye 6 McNair Road

His Sanctuary has been in 6 McNair Road for more than 10 years...a place where I say my wedding vows, a place where my darling RJ had his baby blessing, a place where I grow spiritually and the place where I'm an active children minister. The stage in the auditorium was a memorable place where I teach the congregation before, act, sing and did clowning...this is the place where I had my most memorable and enjoyable time where I get to know many good sisters and brothers in Christ...but also in this place I was also hurt when my peers left...

Finally, we have to say good bye to this place cos SLA will be taking back the premise...we will miss the big compound and the facility around...we will take on a new chapter and move on to Hersing Hub Toa Payoh...well that's life...we hope with this move, we can close also all those bad chapters at 6 McNair Road and grow better at Hersing Hub!!!

Long time no post liao....

What have I been doing??? Nothing much, no bento, no activities, no travelling...just stay at home....Since I discover that no.2 is on the way, just have no energy, all drained down by the morning and evening sickness....

Come to think of it, I really pei fu those people who go through so many times of MS...thank God RJ's time was vy good...no MS at all, still got mood to go kai kai...full of energy!!! How I wish no.2 is also like that....

What are my symptoms now?
- Sleepy
- Nausea
- Vomit (thank God not often)

Sometimes I really feel bad for RJ cos I didn't get to bring him out, due to the current condition...everything is thrown to my maid or hb...but on days that I feel good, I'll still try to bring him out to play at the playground....

Now worse thing is I'm having flu and cough...makes me even more tired...

I want to feel GOOD again!!!

我正在学华语。一路来，我只会讲华语但是不会写和读。因为从小没有上华校。现在才发现华语的重要。去Karaoke 很多歌不能唱因为看不懂华语字。没关系，我活到老学到老。我要学华语！

p/s: Any teacher to correct my mandarin??? I know it sounds a bit like bahasa pasar! Am very determine to learn!!!

Yvonne's Birthday

On 13 Mar 2009, both Fanny and I took half day leave to celebrate Yvonne's birthday. Her actual day is on 15th March.

Before we went on leave, we sang birthday song and cake cutting in the office. Fanny baked the cake and decorated it...she is really good! The cake is so nice and sweet looking.

After that we went and pick up Yvonne's son and proceed to Swenson at Chinatown Point. Swenson is having the 1 for 1 lunch treat offer. It's very worth it but I don't think the food is fantastic, looks good but taste so so nia. Service is rather bad too...VERY SLOW. They took their time to slowly serve the dishes...imagine if we are not sharing, some might finish the food liao but the other person still waiting for the food to come. We end up get them to ta pau our last dish cos we don't to be late for our karaoke session.

We "cheong" straight to the Ten Dollar Karaoke Club for our karaoke session. Fanny and I went and ta pau dessert from the famous dessert store at temple street. Good thing about this karaoke place is that we get to bring our food in...so we had our Swenson Seafood combo, dessert, cake, so called shark fin (complimentary from the Karaoke Club) and drinks. Real party ah....we sang a lot of songs...Hokkien, Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both old and new songs...I learn 2 hokkien songs which i quite like it.

Meatball Soup - Mother's Recipe

I remember when I was young during each festive season, my mom will cooked this so called hokkien soup without fail. This is one of my favourite soup!

Last Friday, all a sudden I have this craving for this soup (no I'm not expecting). Got Mary to prepare the soup according to mom's way of cooking...Must say Mary did quite a good job, the taste is there...for first attempt, I'll give her 85%.

Next time I don't need to go back to Kuantan to drink this soup. Thank God for Mary!

1st two photos was taken almost 20 years ago, I think that was the only time my whole family went outstation together. This last photo was taken recently during CNY....see the difference??? Yes...I think all of us have grown bigger in size over these 20 years except my brother and my dad. My brother maintained his figure where else I think my dad has shrinked!

Gathering with my ex- aqua aerobic group

My dear and sweet aqua aerobic instructor, Karine invited us to her house on 31st January 2009 for a gathering cum reunion.

In total about 12 of us turned out for the gathering...we had lots of good and sinful food...FAT ah...haha. We also had lots of fun admiring Karine's house and good time catching up cos most of us has stopped joining the class for some time liao.

FMY (Fanny, Megan, Yvonne) in Chinatown

Fanny, Yvonne and myself decided to join in the crowd in Chinatown last Friday after our badminton game. We went to People's Park for dinner, after that shop around before we proceed to go across the road. We saw the crowd at 牛车水, we were a bit reluctant to join in the human jam. We were thinking probably we will just look at the deco on the Garden Bridge, take a few photos then go home. Yvonne suggested that we go Temple Street for dessert, which means we will meet up with the human jam liao...really can feel the mood of CNY there...every year it's almost the same things, people go there and buy nuts, sweets, mochi, melon seeds, cny deco, fruits and plants...and not forgetting the long queue at Lim Chee Guan.

The dessert stall was so crowded, no place to sit...so I suggested that we will ta pau and eat at the Garden Bridge since the weather is so good and so windy...wow as we were eating the shave ice, we felt like we were in Taiwan cos the cold breeze was so nice!

By the time I reached home it was almost 10.45pm.

Even though we know Chinatown will be crowded but it's always good to go there to feel the atmosphere and mood!

Ribbon Biscuit

I've been helping my mum do this biscuit since I was in Primary school...mum always do this during CNY cos the received a lot of orders. But my job is always helper nia where I only help to fold it into a ribbon shape.

Since I bought a noodle machine, my sister suggested that I can try making this biscuit. She gave me her improvice recipe cos my mum's is based on agaration.

On Saturday, thought of giving it a try. Wow...super tiring in kneading the dough and it's all based on feel since it's my 1st time doing it on my own without the help from my mum and sis. FYI, the last time I saw my mum did it was more than 10 years ago....

Thank God everything turn out well. With the help of Mary, we finished everything quite fast. Am thinking of making it again this Saturday, probably as CNY gift. I already gave 1 box to my good neighbour Ms. Koh!

Goodbye 2008 and Hello 2009

On 31st December 2008, my church had a watchnight service. The theme is on bearing fruits for year 2009. Therefore the supper's main dish is FRUITS...we had lots of different kinds of fruits...Cherries, Strawberries, Oranges, Honey Melons, Grapes, Fragrant Pears, Longans and Persimmons. We contributed the Persimmons!

We had a good time worshipping God, a time of ice breaking games, many good testimonies and last but not least the makan time. I didn't stay throughout, left in the middle of some testimonies cos I know my dearest son is very tired and sleepy liao...JW sent us back and went back to join the service...of cos he did the countdown in church...as for me the countdown was on my bed together with RJ....haha...anyway around 12.03 my eldest sis called to wished me Happy New Year!!!

Many people are worried about year 2009 because of the financial turmoil but I started my new year with receiving blessings from others.

IN the morning, I'm suppose to go out to buy a new pair of white shoes for RJ (school requirement), but before I went, I meet Joyce (RJ's classmate's mum) at the market. Told her about it and she offer to bless RJ with a new shoe. She has a spare pair of new shoes she bought in Malaysia. Wow a wonderful blessing early in the morning. She even gave us a pair of socks together with the shoe. Wow I save around $16 for a pair of shoe! Praise God!

In the evening, My nice neighbour Ms. Koh called me as tell me that she will paste me some chili rempah that her maid made. Was told that it will be nice to cook with fish, however I don't have any fish in my fridge. Guess what??? Ms Koh gave me the rempah and also gave me some fish...Wow...free dish for dinner!!!

Isn't God wonderful??? He is indeed my Jehovah Jireh, My Provider. He provided me with so blessing through so many channels. I am going to boldly confess that year 2009 will be a good year for me cos my God Almighty is Able to turn things around!!!

May year 2009 be a year of abundance blessing to all of you too!!!

Penang Prawn Noodle

Find that the instant paste from Tean Gourmet is quite good. Tried the Malaysian Curry Chicken paste and I like it very much, this time I tried the Penang Prawn Noodle paste...not bad!

Where is the venue of my experiment??? Hehe, office lor. Helen cooked the "bak kut" and prawn soup at home. She also prepare the kangkong and peeled the prawns at home. What we did here was just cook the noodle and taugeh. Add in the paste into the the soup and cook...using rice cooker.

Wow 5 of us had a satisfying lunch!

COOKING TIME

On Sunday tried out my new toy, a noodle maker...so make Cha Jiang Mian for dinner. Result, not bad!

Monday morning another adventure....haha we cooked Penang Asam Laksa in office. Bought the paste during my last trip to Penang. Got Helen to cook the fish at home first cos scared too fishy smell, then come to office only add in the paste. Also prepared the ingredient in the office with the help of Fanny. The taste is superb...should buy more, very easy to prepare and to me it's quite healthy cos lots of vegetables.

Had a combine birthday celebration with my boss's daughter. Her actual day is on 8th November. We had quite a good spread of buffet, with Thai Pineapple Rice, Thai Mango Salad, Fried Bee Hoon, Sushi from Sakae Sushi, food from Old Chang Kee, Otah, Roasted Duck, Yvonne's special homemade Tiramisu, Fruits, Red Wine and also Cakes.

Went out ladies night with the mummies gang and they bought me a cake.

My lady boss, Helen gave me a treat at Crab Party for lunch...had a crabie lunch...YUMMY. In the evening had a candle light dinner with hubby (can consider candle light lah cos really got candle lighted up mah). Initially I suggest that we go for steamboat buffet but looking at the queue we gave up and go to the Vines (western food) instead.

13th November 2008

Early morning received so many birthday wishes on phone, msn and facebook. My colleague Eric, Yvonne and Fanny gave me a very good lunch treat at Soup Restaurant. At 3pm, they gave me a cake and sang birthday song to me....so sweet of them. In the evening, my helper Mary supposed to bake me a brownie as my birthday cake but end up failed...so hubby have to buy a small cake for me. Well guess who choose the cake??? RJ wants a cake with cartoon on it. So end up hubby bought one with Winnie the Pooh on it. RJ sang very loud for me and keep wishing me happy birthday.

Thank God for all this wonderful friends and family members who remembered my birthday and blessed me with good food, gifts and wishes!

Dinner at Waraku

Waraku is having this ladies nite offer which is very worth it, 50% off from the total bill...so me and my mummies gang went to Marina to grab this offer....

Doreen booked a Japanese Room for our gathering...For a long time we don't have such a big group gathering liao...We had a great time eating and chatting. They also bought an ice cream cake for me for early birthday celebration.

Curry Chicken

Want convenient curry paste...well then I would recommend this curry paste...can easier get it from Sheng Siong supermarket.

I tried it a few times already and I really love it. I used to cook curry using the wet paste from market but it can be rather inconvenient cos there are times I don't go to the market. So with this paste I can cook anything I want provided my house has packet coconut milk or can even can use full cream milk.

Last Saturday I cook curry chicken for dinner...try to make a bento out of it but must admit that I'm not a creative person...my bento is always not very attractive.

Singapore Slingers Vs Malaysia All Star

On Wednesday, me and hubby took some of our church kids to a basketball match, Singapore Challenge Series....Singapore Slingers vs Malaysia All Star...

The game was good...I nearly lost my voice, kept screaming and cheering....guess who I cheered for??? Of course Malaysia lah....actually the Singapore team played quite well, a lot of 3 pointers shot. Those kids keep staring at me cos I kept cheering for Malaysia...sorry lah...am still very patriotic...to me it's always Malaysia Boleh!!! Anyway Slingers won the game.

When the game finished, we went down to get autograph from the players...I also took a few photos with them....haha but I look so like a midget/drawf...very fat and very short compare to them...Found 2 of Slingers player who are very handsome, Eric Sandrin and Darren Ng...got my hubby to help me take some photos of me with them...hehe...it's ok one lah...just see see only mah...

Told hubby I want to go and watch another game...am enjoying the game!

TOM YUM in COCONUT

I've tried tom yum in coconut before in Malaysia and I just love it. So on Monday, I bought some young coconut from NTUC. On Tuesday, got may maid to cook tom yum soup (those traditional clear soup type). What we did was, open up the young coconut, pour out the juice. Then pour in the tom yum soup and steam it again....once it's ready, garnish it with coriander leaves. As usual, since I'm at work I only give theory lesson, practical done by my maid.

The taste is good but not as good as the one I tried in Malaysia! There's still room for improvement...probably, next time I'll try cooking it myself.

My Weekend Dinner

Well times are getting bad now, better eat more home cooked food cos it's more economical.

On Saturday, got my helper Mary to cook "yat wok sook"...means all cooked in a pot. It's the rice cooker version of Claypot Chicken Rice. To make the meal more complete with vegetables got Mary to fried "tao miow". Simple meal but healthy meal!

On Sunday, I cooked Nasi Goreng Pattaya, and fried some ready made tofu fish cake for dinner. My omelette was not big enough to cover the whole bowl of rice, so one of it is without omelette below and the enough one, can't even wrap....not too bad. We all had quite a full meal with simple cooking.

Since I bought some bread yesterday for today's breakfast, so decided to do a breakfast bento for myself. Will be using the new Barney lunch box, a 2 tier lunch box but I'll be using one of it only.

Chilli Crab

Yesterday went shopping at Sheng Siong, bought some crabs home to cook Chilli Crab. This is my very 1st attempt in cooking crabs. I've always wanted to eat Chilli crab but it's very ex to buy, so thought of trying to cook it using my own way. Quite simple and easy to cook!

RESULT....Taste not bad...the sauce was good when we eat with toasted bread!!!! Am so satisfied after eating the Chilli Crab!

RECIPE: (don't ask me how much I put in cos it's all "agaration")

Crab

Chilli paste

Chilli Sauce

Tomato Sauce

Tamarind Juice

Starch

Egg

Garlic

Sugar and Salt

Water

METHOD :

Fry garlic, then add in the chilli paste. Fry till fragrance is out.

Add tomato sauce and chilli sauce.

Add in the crabs...Fry it for awhile then add water.

After that add in the tamarind juice.

Cook for awhile then add in the starch.

Last add in the beaten egg.

Voila...all ready to serve with some coriander as garnish!

MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL

On 12th September, my company organised a pre-Mid Autumn celebration. So happen it's also my colleague's last day at work...so we had a farewell for her too...We had good buffet spread from Neo Garden.

We started the buffet party at 12pm and by 3.30pm we started our mooncake party. We have mooncake from Ritz Carlton, Four Season and Raffles The Plaza. I love the "ping pi" mooncake from Raffles, all with liqour in it.We had mooncakes, pomelo and chinese tea...and not forgetting left over from our lunch buffet!

"LOU KAI"

Don't know how to call this in Mandarin or English, only know that it's known as "lou kai" in Cantonese.

This suppose to be my mother's signature dish but it is rather complicated. All thanks to my sister in law, nice food can be cook in simple way. Now I can easily ask Mary to cook for me and don't have to wait till I go back to Kuantan to enjoy this dish!

Simple ingredients :

Ingredient A:-

Shallots

Garlic

Ginger

Salted bean sauce

Preserved beancurd (those red colour type - in cantonese called Nam Yu)

Others:-

Chicken

Gula Melaka
Water

Oil

Method:

1) Blend ingredient A into paste. (add the bean sauce and beancurd later cos it's easier to blend).

2) Heat up the oil, cook ingredient A till you can smell the fragrance.

3) Put whole chicken in and try to mix the paste with the chicken

4) Add in water. When it's boiling, can add in gula melaka.

5) Put under low fire and slowly cook the chicken and till the sauce quite dry up.

6) Once cooked cut the chicken into pieces and pour the sauce over it.

I must admit Mary is a good cook, all I need to do is to prepare the ingredients as how much to put in, give her theory lesson (haha means I talk only), she will go the practical and END RESULT = GOOD!

My hb likes it very much and all of us agreed that it is YUMMY!

P/s : sorry no nice presentation...forgot about it cos my mind just thinking of trying the dish nia!

KL Style of Hokkien Mee

Last Saturday, I tried cooking KL style Hokkien Mee, omit the lard and charcoal stove. I think this meal is rather cheap, I bought $.050 yellow noodle, 1 pcs of chicken breast meat, 5 prawns , 1 pc of fish cakes and some vege, our whole family with 3 adults and 1 toodler and a decent and full lunch! If you were to ask why only put 5 prawns???...it's not that I kiam siap but it's just that JW doesn't eat prawns and I don't really want RJ to eat seafood yet.

I think my hokkien mee taste not bad but I think it will taste better if I have chicken stock!

FAREWELL FOR WATT FAMILY

The Watt Family plays an important part in my life in Singapore. Both Sammy and Shareen has been my Shepherd throughout my Children Ministry in Singapore. We went through lots of ups and downs during our ministry but I would say we enjoyed every single moment together.

Even though we said good-bye in end of Jan this year when they decided to leave HS but both Shareen and I kept in contact. But now looks like we have to say good bye once again and won't be in contact so often cos they will be moving to Perth on 13th September 2008!

Both Grace and I gave the Watt family a farewell dinner at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant at Odeon Tower. I rushed home from workplace to pick RJ cos I know Shareen missed RJ very much. We had a nice and good time talking about good old days and our future plans...

All the best to this family as they pursue their new journey of life in Perth!!!

MEETING LONG LOST FRIEND

During my last visit back to KL, I met a few of my long lost Uni friends at Bangsar, I also spoke on the phone with a 2 seniors and 1 junior. We started talking about our good old days during our stay in 7th Residential College....then on recent Saturday, I met up with my 3rd year room mate, Janet. It is good to meet up with long lost friend.

After all these gatherings we decided to organise a bigger gathering to gather as many 7th Collegian as possible!!!! It's set on 29th November 2008 most likely in KL. Hope to see many more friend whether is my batch or my seniors or juniors!!!!

GOOD FOOD

I'm back in recommending good food again. During my trip back to KL last month, I was told that in Bentong there is a famous ice kacang shop. Their specialty...DURIAN ice cream + ice kacang...this shop mainly sell ice kacang only with a lot different flavours of home made ice cream. Name of the shop - KEDAI KOPI KOW PO in Bentong town. Too bad on my day of visit their durian ice cream are all sold out. I tried the peanut ice cream and my sister took the banana ice cream. TASTE - YUMMY!!!! (sorry no actual picture of the ice kacang cos I was too eager to try and slip out of my mind to take picture).

Another must eat good food in Kuatan is their nasi lemak. Restoran Zaman is famous for their nasi lemak. A lot of locals and travellers to Kuantan will stop by to eat their nasi lemak. Since the packing is rather small, some can eat about 3-4 packets per person.

Wedding Dinner at Ritz Carlton

I attended my godma(aka ex-colleague)'s daughter's wedding reception on 2nd August at Ritz Carlton. Everywhere was so jam. Some roads were closed and I had a hard time getting there via taxi.

I reached the hotel quite early around 5.40pm cos I'm suppose to help out as usher. Went up to the bride's suite to see them....Wow there's such a very nice view of the NDP from the room....quickly took out my camera and took a few snap. Too bad have to go down early, so can't see more. The dinner started quite early around 7.30pm...was thinking how nice if I can see it from the room!

During the dinner it's very much like an eGuide Alumni Reunion Dinner....haha met so many of my ex-colleagues there. Had a great time interaction with them, just like last time.

Karaoke Session

On 1st August, I went for for Karaoke session with some Dec'05 mummies consist of Doreen, Belinda, Mimi and myself...too bad Sandy and Sin Mei can't join us. Doreen's sister joined us instead.

This karaoke place is rather interesting...we just need to pay $10 per person and we can sing from 7pm-10pm with free flow of drinks and 1 free bowl of "shark fin". We can also ta pau food from downstairs (Smith Street), eat and sing together.

Konyaku Jelly

Got Mary to do some jellies since she is always so free in the afternoon. Added longan, kiwi fruit and pineapple in it.

This bowl is meant to be given to my neighbour Ms. Koh. Find it rather plain, so make use of the decoration "grass" I got for Daiso to decorate around it...well it did make a difference!!!

So many things happen around my neighbourhood on this day.

1st news was there's someone jumped down from one of the block nearby and died on the spot. So scary, last month there's one and now another...but this time I heard it's not commit suicide but the drug addict trying to run away from the police. He climbed out to the balcony, lost his grip then fell down.

2nd happening news is that there's a monitor lizard below my block near to the karaoke room...when I came back from the salon with RJ, saw so many people gather around to see the monitor lizard. Thank God for one brave uncle from my block who manage to capture it, where else the policeman just stand there and see...haiz..

Parable of the Sower

On Sunday, I taught the parable of the sower in WeeZone. Was thinking very hard how to deliver the message to kids below 7 yrs old. Well thank God for his creativity, came out with a visual model for the kids to see and understand better.

Went to Daiso and got some materials to prepare the model. JW was impressed and likes it very much. RJ likes it because of the nice bird.

Overall I think overall the kids understand the teaching. We did actions for the memory verse and some craft related to the lesson.

NEW HOBBY

Lately I "kee siow" liao...begin to like photography(even though I don't have those "PRO" camera, but mine can tahan lah for my standard)...I see people take nice photos of live objects like animals, flowers and food...I also follow the trend but too bad I do not have the skills...Recently I've learnt a new function called "MACRO" in the camera. It's meant for taking close-up pictures...so now I go everywhere I go I'll take pictures of flowers using this function.

Practice quite a few at HortPark 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, brought my son for a walk at the canal behind my house. Saw nice flowers arounds, so the itchy fingers starts to CLICK here and there already...I also have a kee siow hobby now which is taking picture of the clouds int the sky...

Haha...see this kee siow will last for how long...

Saw this cute picture on someone's blog today...well it fits me very well cos I'm SICK...having fever, flu and cough. Who did I get it from??? My Latest Collection of LUNCHBOX

All thanks to Joy who recommended me this cute Hamburger Lunchbox. I like it very much. So this morning make full use of it liao...haha now all the lunchbox is mostly used by me and not RJ.

This morning, my good helper Mary who can read my mind, reheated the overnight chicken curry for me to bring to office for breakfast together with fried prata. Got her to pack into the hamburger lunchbox. Wow looks like I'm going to have a heavy and scrumptious breakfast today!(hehe of course I didn't finish all lah...fat ah!!!! Will share with my colleagues).

NASI LEMAK

I'm in the cooking mood again. On Sunday, I cooked Nasi Lemak again. The last time I cooked nasi lemak was last year. Well definetely a lot of work but thank God I have Mary to help me with the cutting and chopping.

My neighbour also made some Otah for us to go along with the Nasi Lemak. I'm happy cos my hubby enjoy the food very much. His comment was :- THIS IS INDEED A GOOD MEAL...wow what an encouraging compliment.

FOOD PRESENTATION

On friday my maid cook fried rice and fried vege for dinner...it was a very plain. Told my maid that she should make full use of the plates and bowls I bought from Daiso...Food presentation is important cos it will make the food more appetising. I took out the Japanese bowl and plate I got from Daiso, put some spring onion and fried anchovies. My food definetly look better...YUM YUM...

Canopy Cafe @ Bishan Park

Sometime last month my boss's son gave us a treat at Canopy Cafe @ Bishan Park. The atmosphere around the cafe is good but the food so so only. I find the food not tasty and also the food presentation not too good. Me and my colleagues tried the Linguine tossed with Lobster, Caeaser Salad, Rissoto and Cheese Nachos. Of all only the Caeaser Salad and the Cheese Nachos is nice. For the price we paid, I think it's not worth it.

Thought of the Day

This morning I was in a bus on the way to work. I noticed a lot of JC's students' shoes are all branded like Nike and at least a Reebok. Wow school student nia leh...wear branded shoes. Even for my own nephew who is now chasing after branded stuff (you know who I'm talking about).

What happen to the world now, why everyone is chasing after brands. Are they chasing after quality or name sake??? Is it a norm now or is it really peers pressure??? People start to show off and compare which "class" your are from...is it the "atas" or "low" class.

Compare to our time, a simple Bata shoes to wear to school is good enough, as for sports shoes we simply go Bata and get Power (the brand). Life was much simpler last time. Everyone is not so brand conscious, I feel people are less materialistic compare to now.

If now it's already like that what will happen in another 10 yrs time when RJ enter his teenage years...How can we start to educate our kids to be contented with what we have....Really we need God's guidance and wisdom!!!

DIY ICE CREAM

On Tuesday I saw an interesting program on Channel U called Instant Chef. Well the chef showed us how to do DIY ice cream without a mixer or ice cream maker...http://instantchef.mediacorptv.sg/recipes.htm. Looks easy and interesting.

After that I did a search on internet and found that Science Centre taught this experiment too http://www.science.edu.sg/ssc/virtual_ssc.jsp?type=4&root=205&parent=205&cat=267.

It looks like no gimmick and a sure successful formula. Told my colleagues about it and we decided to do an experiment on our own.

Well we made it but it's not as simple as it is. On the show Instant Chef, they said only shake for 5 minutes but we shake more than 15 minutes to get the result.

Simple ingredient + lots of hard work = Satisfactory Result

I choose Strawberry Milk (nice flavour)

Milk added with sugar

Put in small ziplock bag then put inside the big ziplock bag filled with ices and salt

Shake vigoruosly (hehe that's not me shaking)

End result - nice smooth yummy Strawberry Ice Cream

TAU SAR PIAH

Recently I ate one very nice tau sar piah made in Singapore...who says we need to go Malaysia to get tau sar piah...There's one made in Singapore - LOONG FATT at Balestier Road (It's at the cross junction of Thomson Road and Balestier Road).

Last Friday, I was rather early for my appointment at TMC. So I went and explore the place, thank God it quite manageable to find this nice tau sar piah shop. A lot of people in the shop queuing to buy. Mostly people buy a few boxes, I bot 6 boxes of 5. Their production line non stop, so all the tau sar piah is very fresh and piping hot...The skin is crispy and the paste inside it is hot...SHIOK!!! Cost only $0.60 for one. They have 2 flavours, one is sweet and the other one is salty. I think I like the salty one better.

FRUITS IS GOOD

My crazy diet is back...haha...

Plan to go on so called non carbo diet for 2 days...plan to eat more fruits and vege and prob some meat. This morning I had 1 cup of yoghurt for breakfast (hehe with some muesli), lunch I took 1 pear and half a pineapple fruit. Will plan to eat another pear for tea break. Dinner will just eat vegetables and some steam chicken...

Wanted to buy more fruits but like no nice fruits leh...probably will buy papaya, watermelon for tomorrow...tomorrow lunch can probably make salad...will take one step at a time...

Don't know whether can work or not but it's good to detox a bit lah...

MY FUN LOVING AQUA AEROBIC GANG

On 18th June, I organised a gathering for my aqua aerobic gang with our fun loving instructor, Karine. We had dinner at Marina Square's Hotpot Culture.

We had lots of fun cos all very siow siow one...we had a great time eating and laughing away...The group will go smaller liao cos a few of us (including me) decided to stop taking the lessons liao...so this dinner is oso very much like a farewell party...I will definetely miss this gang...hope to join all of you soon!!!

Firstly I like to give thanks to God for giving me a good domestic helper. Mary is quite auto, I don't really need to tell her what to so but she will take initiative to do it. Just like my breakfast. I seldom eat breakfast at home before work but once a while I'll packed something from home to eat in the office. This morning, Mary made egg sandwich for me (without me asking her to do it).

When I saw her packing the sandwich for me using Ziplock bag, I quickly took out my newly bought bento box for her to pack it in...haha, must pack nice nice...got style mah...as usual, since it's a two tier bento box, I used my bandana to tie it up.

BEAUTIFUL SKY

Recently I like to take time to admire the sky, slowly enjoy the beautiful and awesome creation of God.

Yesterday evening I took RJ for a walk at the canal near my house...when I look up at the sky, I can't help but to take a picture of it with my handphone. I find that the formation of the clouds in the sky is so nice. You will feel so peaceful!!! Can imagine yourself floating slowly and smooth on the clouds. Marvelous!!!

Thank you God for your beautiful creations for us! Thank God that He has given me eyes to see and admire his beautiful creations!

COOKING WEEKEND....

This whole weekend I didn't bring RJ out for any special outdoor activities, so since I'm at home it will be experiment time....haha meaning cooking time...

I tried making ngoh hiang (more like my mum's style of "chuan juan")....I also tried making the pandan jelly with coconut milk but can't get the 2 layers effect....make "wat than bee hoon"....i fried the bee hoon then cook the gravy and pour on it...

All 2 tasted quite nice...consider quite a successful week!!!

6th Wedding Anniversary

1st June 2008 is my 6th wedding anniversary. Wow 6 years liao...how time flies...

On 31st May, both JW & I planned to have an early celebration. So we went out for a date without our dearest son. Around 6pm, got Mary to bring RJ for a bath so that I can sneaked out.

JW suggested that we go somewhere further and somewhere we never explore before...so we ended having our dinner at Changi Hotel - Le Meridien. Didn't know that Changi Village is so packed on weekend. It's so difficult to get a car park, even hotel's carpark is full. We ended up parking somewhere quite far and take a nice stroll to the hotel.

The buffet spread was quite ok...nothing fantastic but good enough. We didn't make any reservation so we ended up sitting outside by the pool. The arrangement was quite good cos most of the time we were like the only guest sitting by the pool (except 1 angmoh who came and had a quick dinner), it's almost like our own candle light dinner.

Huat Kueh

Since I'm on MC, nothing to do at home (other than playing and taking care of RJ), thought of trying out the packet of Phoon Huat Premix Huat Kueh Flour.

It's easy to make but some how I find the texture of the Huat Kueh not so nice...it looks good cos got "huat" like flower, smells good cos got coconut milk but the taste and the texture not up to the standard. I think I'll try again by using fresh coconut milk cos I find packet coconut milk not that nice. Next time I'll use the one with gula melaka!

SIMPLE MEAL

We are indeed very blessed as we always have plenty of food to eat. Thank God for His provision...But many times we often say we don't what to eat cos eat till we sian liao...We should count our blessing that we are given so many choices of food...we are never short of food to eat.

I've to admit that I'm guilty to that statement too...I should learn to count my blessing!!!!

Usually on Saturday we will go out for dinner cos thought of taking a break from homecook meal...but many times both me and JW will always ask each other what to eat and where to eat...I think what is more important is not what we eat or where we eat but who we are eating with. As many knows, I seldom have weekdays meals with JW because of his schedule but we will try to make a point that every Saturday we will have dinner together.

So this Saturday, I cooked a simple meal and eat at home...The meal may be simple but it's the effort put in to prepare for my love ones and eat together with them that counts.

TELEPATHY

I was on MSN with my forum kaki, a few of them is preggie and we were all talking about confinement food. All a sudden I have this crave of eating Chicken Wine Mee Sua...but it's too late for me to call my maid to cook cos it's already 5pm and she usually cooked dinner early.

Guess what, when I went back, am surprised that my maid actually cooked chicken wine to be eaten with rice...told her to pack the rice and put in mee sua instead...

My Trip to Penang

Overall the trip was okm this trip is more for my parents and I think the enjoyed it, well consider mission accomplished. Had a good time of fellowship with my parents and sister. On the makan part, not so much cos parents don't really enjoyed Penang hawker food. Being old people, they still prefer those sit down proper meals.

Anyway I still get to try Penang Char Kuey Teow, Penang Asam Laksa, Penang Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodle), Penang Curry Mee, Jalan Kayu Nasi Kandar (the original one).

We had the Famous Air Itam Asam Laksa, but to me the taste ok nia not super fantastic, probably because I busy feeding my son so didn't really get to slowly taste and enjoyed the food.

I like Penang's morning market food. We ate at a coffee shop with morning market outside. It's fun where you can order those local snack and eat at your breakfast table.

The best food throughout this trip is the one we had at Bukit Tambun. Was recommended by my Penang friend. We thought it's very near Butterworth but it's actually around 30km away...But worth going to that place. It's really at the end of the road, near a jetty/fishing village. The seafood is fresh, cheap and good....We reached there at 5+ to 6pm but the restaurant is already packed with customers. Another things good about them is that they serve their food very fast!!!! We had baby octupus as appetizer, black pepper crab, steam fish, salted baked mantis, 2 types of fried vegetables, for 5 pax, we only paid RM98 (including drinks)...WOW>>>CHEAP!!!!

Outside of the restaurant, there is the stall that sell very nice an unique satay. This satay does not serve with the gravy cos they dip and marinade the meat in the gravy before BBQ it...it's the best satay I ever tasted.

Didn't manage to take many picture of the food cos with my son around, my hands won't be so free to take pictures liao...

When we went back to USJ, we went to mamak stall "Tanjung" for supper. I like their roti tissue and maggi mee goreng. Without failed I'll order this 2 things whenever I go back to USJ for supper...

Breakfast was good. We went for dimsum at Hoong Foong Dim Sum at USJ...would say cheap and good. For 8 pax, we only pay RM60+ for good dim sum. You definetely can't get cheap and good dim sum in Singapore.

NOISE POLLUTION IN THE BUS

Just want to blog about noise pollution in the bus, I've just encountered it this morning.

Recently someone complaint about Mobile TV being too loud in the bus, passengers need peaceful ride...well this morning my ride to work was not peaceful at all, not because of Mobile TV but because of 1 passenger. I was happily watching CNA's news till 1 guy swithced on his handphone music player so loud. Aiyoh the music is so loud and noisy....feel like telling him, "Thank you for the thought of sharing your music with us but we don't enjoy it"!!! If you want to listen to your loud music, please use your earpiece lah...really bouy tahan...

Please be more considerate mah, those music you like doesn't mean that other people will enjoyed it also.

I think SBS needs to put a notice in the bus to remind people not switched on their MP3, MP4 or handphone music player so loud...please use their earpiece.

Indeed we need a peaceful and enjoyable bus ride!

Fast Food On Saturday

A busy Saturday for me on 19th April, so will have fast food for lunch and dinner...will it be McDonalds, KFC, Pizza??? No it's home cooked fast food.

For lunch, I made Kon Lor Mee Tai Mak with Fishball soup for lunch and dinner we had Fish Fillet with Fries and Salad.

Wanted to try making Kon Lor noodle for some time, but has been going out most of the Saturdays. Since it's quite easy to prepare, so will just give it a try. However, am not very satisfied with the taste...edible and acceptable but still can improve better. I used dark sauce and light sauce from Malaysia. Probably because I didn't put lard.

MGSS KUANTAN REUNION

Well a few of my old classmates have been talking about reunion for Class of 1989. In fact this talk has been NATO for a few years.

This year things become better, so far there are 2 mini gathering liao...one in Kuantan and one in KL. We manage to locate more and more friends...currently in our mailing list there's about 30+. Wow good man...we found a few in Singapore...We also set up an account in facebook, where we put all our postings and old photos there.

Hope that our coming reunion will be a successful one. Hope to see more of my old long lost classmates....

The wonders that Facebook can do is really great. I get to find quite a few long lost friends through it...It all started up with 1 person then you can slowly find and link on to the rest....

One fine day, Gary (whose is my uni friend, Ming Choo's hubby) found me in Facebook then not long after he added me as his contact, another Uni friend of mine, Karen found me through Gary's contact list...she contact me and recently we just met up together with 2 other uni friends, Toh Sue Lim and Neo...wow we didn't see each other since we graduated (12 years) liao...we didn't really change much but it's good to catch up with old friends.

And through Karen's contact list, another uni friend Hong Kin message me...from there on I manage to contact my friend Sor Lin who used to stay in the same hostel and many of my juniors like Kit Han, Lee Fong, Whailin, Sui Meng, Sher Ling, Siew Siew, Mei Lan...see how wonderful Facebook is....no wonder Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg can be a billionaire at such a young age...peifu peifu....

Hope to get in touch more with my old friends....the feeling is GOOD!!!

BAKING TIME

MIL gave me a Kenwood mixer so it's time to learn how to bake cakes....my colleagues recommended me to use Betty Crocker's premix flour. It's highly recommended...easy and nice.

Ok since I have the mixer and I'm free, why not...Happily, on Saturday morning I took out the mixer and premix flour, all ready to bake...haha guess what...less than 2 minutes the mixer's engine burnt lor...I think MIL didn't use it for very long liao...

Well we have to use "human hand" mixer instead...me and my maid take turns to beat the mixture.

Turn out not bad, the cake taste good but look not so good nia(find that the top part of the cake too "pong" and looks vy ugly). Since I have strawberries in my fridge, I cut the top part of the cake and decorate it with stawberries....see the effects.

Domino effect from the CARELESS diagnosis by TTSH on JW, we have to postpone our "TTC" plan (trying to conceive plan)....anyway not giving up...I pray hard that I'll be able to conceive and give birth by this year....well the next domino effect is my Valentine's Day celebration lor....

CNY DECORATIONS

Once I know for sure I can't go back to Kuantan for CNY, I quickly went to market and stock up with food...in order to get some CNY mood in my house, I took out all my cookies and oranges and set it nicely on the table. I also went and buy some nice flowers to fill the mood and 气氛...

See my nice corner, but too bad no one came to my house for visitation...no one to appreciate it and also enjoys the cookies...never mind lah..at least the flowers lifted up my mood...

TTSH SPOILT MY CNY

Wow my CNY was spoilt by Tan Tock Seng Hospital....WHAT HAPPEN????

Let me run through the whole incident here....just need to pour out my anger and dissappointment on TTSH...a hospital in Singapore...such things should not happen in Singapore's hospital...

5th Feb
3am : JW complaint that he vomitted 5-6times...
7.30am : Was rather worried...asked JW to go to our GP and see what they say
10+am : JW told me he is going to TTSH, GP refers him to go hospital cos suspected Imflammation of Pancreas or Gallstones
12+pm : I went to TTSH to see JW, he is still in pain and still vomit
2+pm : TTSH doctors said JW can be discharged, urine and blood test ok. Did an Xray on him...report all ok. Suspected he had bad gastric. Gave him gastric medication and ask him to see specialist after CNY
JW went home but still very much in pain...

6th Feb
3am : The pain is still there and now have shifted to the right side...Send him to TTSH A&E again...
4+am : Doctor suspect he has appendicitis, need to refer him to Senior Doctor and surgeon for operation.
6+am : Senior Doctor said very high chance of appendicitis. Need immediate operation. They did a blood test but not sure they waited for the report.
10+am : I went to hospital again thinking the surgery is over cos doctor told me only ard 2 hrs but JW still not out fm Operation Theatre
12pm : JW back in ward. We checked with nurse on the report, did the appendic burst inside...then nurse told us reports stated it's not appendicitis but it's gall stone...see there's 2 cut....

WHAT???? 2 cuts???? You mean the open up JW to remove appendic then OOPSSS...sorry wrong one...no problem with that...then open another cut to do treasure hunt on him ah...what man they treat him like what....

I was very angry cos it end up it's all GallStone...gallstone surgery is so simple, I've seen my friend's procedure...only pin hole operation...

Then I questioned them that our GP already ask them to check on gallstone, why can't they trace...they did an Xray on JW on 1st day, why still can't trace...then they say XRAY can't see...if can't see why do XRAY...should just do ultrascan on him...and save all those trouble...

I feel that TTSH is not responsible and did not diagnose properly on JW...he has to suffer all those surgery pain....and he has to spend his CNY in hospital and not with his family members around him....

Do you think I deserve the right to be angry with TTSH??? I definetely will banned TTSH.....

BAKING WEEKEND....

What have I been doing last weekend??? BAKING....something which I'm not good at but still don't give up, continue baking...

Well I manage to bake 2 cookies on Saturday...don't really taste good but looks not bad lah...I bake cornflakes cookies and plain almond cookies...With Mary's help in less than half a day all done.

On Sunday after church service, before going to help out in Tuition Ministry, I make chocolate cornflakes + almond "cookies"...don't know it's called cookies or not cos it's not bake bake freeze cold...this one looks not good but taste not bad...(haha after "rescue work" being done).

Mary also fried some arrowheads which is looks and taste good...

TRIP BACK TO KL

From 25/1/08 - 27/1/08, I abandoned my darling son RJ in Singapore with my helper and my hubby...reason??? Cos my "eldest son" aka my nephew aka my godson's water baptism. He invited me to attend cos he really hope that I can witness his "BIG DAY"...

I took leave on Friday and took First Coach back to KL. Overall am very satisfied with First Coach, the bus is clean, comfortable with individual LCD screen just like aeroplane...and most important it's INEXPENSIVE. The boarding and arrival point is good too...board from Novena Square and alight at Bangsar LRT station.

Well during this trip I break all my diet...ate many things...what did I had??? Asam Laksa, Curry Laksa, "Kon Lor" Loh See Fun, "Yau Yee Oong Choy"/Kangkong Cuttlefish, Wanton Noddle, Curry Chee Cheong Fun with Yong Tow Foo, Fried Kuay Teow, lots of Malay kueh and Soto Ayam, Tim Sum, Roti Tissue and Maggie Mee Goreng....haha Friday 4.30pm till Sun 2.30pm, I ate all of this...but thank God all sharing one lah...great satisfaction but very fattening....

Shop a lot too but all for RJ and not for myself. Only got 1 Tshirt (rat year) for myself. As for RJ, I bought 4 sets of pyjamas, 2 pants, 1 shirt and 1 set of Tshirt with pants. Keep telling myself that I should stop buying for RJ...just can't control and stop myself.

CHINESE NEW YEAR FEVER...

Wow I'm really in the mood to search and feel Chinese New Year fever. After visiting Singapore's Chinatown, I went to KL's Chinatown, Petaling Street (PS)...but it's a real disappointment. Nothing much to see...only have lantern hang around the place, that's all...of cos the same old things, they sell cookies, Chinese New Year decorations and clothes and pussy willows..

See all this nice cute girlie CNY costume (how I wish I have a girl and I can buy one)...

Another reason for me to visit PS is to walk down the memory lane...during my university days I used to go there quite often...I'll go there and buy the "old man" 's pineapple tart, drink the mata kucing drink, eat mua chee or buy "sei ngan chye" 's duck wrap...

But am quite disappointed cos I can't find my favourite pineapple tart, no mua chee and no duck wrap...even the mata kucing drink is no longer serve in the metal bowl...no kick...I MISS THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS....

The only consoling things is that I get to eat good Asam Laksa, Curry Laksa, Dried Lo See Fun and Kangkong Cuttlefish. Wow all this food is good and SHIOK!!! The Asam Laksa really give you the KICK, the Curry Laksa has some "treasure" which you can't really find in Singapore....Dried Pork Skin!!! The Dried Lo See Fun was very good, why can't I find such nice dark sauce/kon lor noddle in Singapore.

There is also this apam balik (mian chang kueh)...looks nice and yummy but I was too full to try it...

Given me another change I'll still go back to PS again to find all those things that I can't find...there's more good food to explore in PS...spend more time there when an empty stomach....YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!!!

BAKING FOR CNY

Another thing that people always do before CNY is baking cookies....you can surely smell cookies baking around your flats...well I decided to join the "fever" and try to bake some Almond Cookies (recipe given by Fanny).

Turns out quite ok lah, except that I've overbaked it...but not too bad for me cos I didn't bake since I was in Sec 3...am quite happy with it...but I discovered that I don't really enjoy baking that much...I prefer cooking more than baking.

Recently I found some of my old university friends in Facebook and they say I didn't change much...face wise probably didn't change much except I no longer have the innocent and care-free smile and look. Can see I've age liao...but in terms of size...NO DOUBT...I'm getting FATTER and FATTER.

2008....What is my New Year Resolution???

Welcome 2008!!!
A lot of things has happen in 2007, some good and some bad.... What ever that it's good, I'll cherished and treasure those moments and for those bad moments, I'll just have to learn from it and move on with LIFE!

What I hope for year 2008....

1) To lose at least 3-4kgs in total. Why only 3-4kg when I know I'm far above my ideal weight??? Cos I think 3-4kgs it's more achievable, to get to my ideal weight it's impossible...if I can lose 4 kg, I am quite happy liao. Anyway need to eat healthy food and will try to exercise more. I WANT TO STAY FIT and pretty...hehe

2) FAMILY PLANNING....hope to be blessed with a baby by this year. Well this mean that I have to work hard...preferably a baby girl. Hope to give birth before my birthday in November.

3)Financial - Hope to be financially strong this year. If possible hope to save more $$ this year. Must set a side some saving every month

4) Spiritual - Want to get closer to God, want to build up my foundation on God's word. Need to discipline myself to read and medidate on God's word. For things that has happen in 2007, I'll have to learn to let go. I need to focus more on God and not on human.

5) Hope that all my family members will stay strong and healthy and for those who yet to know Christ, hope that salvation will come knocking on the door soon!

At the time being a bit mental blocked, can't think of any liao...will try to add on more later, if there are any!

Last Day in Taiwan (26/12/07)

SQ 871 ETD Taiwan 1410 and ETA Singapore 1850

Finally it's time to go back...In fact I'm looking forward to go back to Singapore. Even though I enjoy Taiwan but I missed my dearest RJ very much...miss his cheecky smile and actions, miss him calling me Mama and give me big bear hug!!!

The minute I touched down, I quickly go to the Duty Free Shop then went and collect my luggage cos I want to see my RJ. The minute he saw me from far he start screaming MAMA and run to hug me....SO SWEET...I don't think I want to leave him behind again next year....

6th Day in Taiwan (25/12/07)

Suhua Highway National Road/Chiufen/Taipei Ximenting & Shihlin Night Market

Once again we travel on Suhua Highway but this time not so fun liao, cos the driver is speeding...we were so near the edge of the ravine...very scary. I think I had Claustrophobia, can't wait to get out of the bus and hoping the end the winding road journey.
So stop in 1 small town called Su Ao for lunch and bought some local snacks. I tried 1 special snack - ice cream wrap in popiah skin with grind peanuts and coriander leaves.
Chiufen - a place where you see old fashioned way of life that still exist. It's like an ancient city selling a lot of local goodies and snacks. Most of us bought from the shop called Ah Xin, as recommended by our tour guide.
After that we went to some Feng Shui centre where quite a few of my colleagues bought their lucky charm ornament.
Dinner was good, we ate at this unique restaurant call the Five Cents Driftwood House Restaurant. The interior design is very nice and unique. Food also not too bad. If you are in Taipei do check it out. They also have branches in Taichung and Tainan.
After dinner we checked in to a 5 stars hotel, Brothers Hotel. Not too bad.
Ximenting - Were told that it's like Orchard Road of Singapore with many shopping, but didn't manage to get anything there.
Shihlin Night Market - Went there mostly for food, and I manage to eat the famous Ah Zhong Mee Sua. Bought a pair of sandal and some toys for RJ there.

5th Day in Taiwan (24/12/2007)

Suhua Highway National Road/Hualien/Taroko National Park/Eternel Spring Shrine/Linzi & Tea Centre/Seven Star Lake/Ami Aboriginal Cultural Village

Early in the morning we need to leave Shangrila Leisure Farm, too bad! Felt that we should spend slightly longer time there.
Suhua Highway National Road - very winding but very nice scenery along the road.
Seven Star Lake - the best tourist place in Hualien. The beach is marvelous and very beautiful. I love it...strong waves, sometimes feel like tsunami is coming
Taroko National Park & Eternal Spring Shrine - didn't trek the park cos too high up and too tiring. Just stay around and take some pictures
Ami Aboriginal Cultural Village - so so only...not very interesting, probably my expectation too high.
After we check into our hotel, a few of us went out the check out the small town of Hualien. Guess what, the sandal that I bought in Taichung gave way. I have to walk barefooted to a nearest supermarket to get a sandal. I also tried Smelly Beancurd, YUCKS>>>>>taste horrible n terrible!!! Will never ever try that again

4th Day in Taiwan (23/12/07)

Taiwan High Speed Rail/National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall (Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall)/Yehliu/Shangrila Leisure Farm

Morning we took a high speed train from Taichung to Taipei...suppose to be very fast but we can't really feel it....
Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall - I think they change the name to Democracy Memorial Hall. In Chinese meaning sounds like Freedom Hall...that's why you can see we do a lot of flying pose...
Yehliu - I like the most...very nice and scenic but too bad it was raining. Can't really stay long enough to admire the formation of the rocks.
Shangrila Leisure Farm - Nice cosy hotel. Can you imagine, my bedroom has 4 single beds...big hor...After dinner they have some traditional games such as tops, making tang yun, bubbles and also play fireworks.

3rd Day in Taiwan (22/12/2007)

Shuli Snake Kiln/Sun Moon Lake/Wen Wu Temple/Peacock Garden/Yi Chung Street Night Market

Shuli Snake Kiln - a lot of pottery there. Very nice and we saw a documentary how they made the pots traditionally...AMAZING!!!
Sun Moon Lake - we heard so much about how nice Sun Moon Lake is but to me so so only, not really very scenic. After lunch some of them went to Wen Wu Temple.
Nothing much at Peacock Garden too.
But I like Yi Chung Street Night Market, we ate a lot of good local food...SHIOK!!!!! but 3 pairs of shoes and a pair of boots there.

2nd Day in Taiwan (21/12/2007)

Martyr's Shrine/Leo Fu Village Theme Park/Taichung/Feng Jia Night Market

Marytr's Shrine just see the ceremony of changing guards
Theme Park was fun, we spent almost 4 hours there. We played the roller coaster, there's a safari bus ride, we also tried the 3D motion master movie. Last but not least, we played the water rapid and got ourselves all wet. Overall it was very fun. I didn't try many of those "too adventurous" rides.
Feng Jia Nite Market was good. I bought many necklace there at very good price, bought 2 pairs of pants and 2 pcs of shirt for RJ. Find that it's too short a time, can really shop and eat a lot of things there. We tried their local food called Big Intestine wrap Small Intenstine...not as yucky as you thought...it taste good but super long queue...I begin to like Taichung!

1st Day in Taiwan (20/12/07)

This flight will be landing at Taoyuan Airport. Yeah Taiwan here I come!!!! Once touched down, we went straight for our dinner. After dinner we went to Pei Tou Spring City Resort. What's in this resort??? HOT SPRING...I've been looking forward to try hot spring. Finally I get to try liao....

Where did I go during that period??? TAIWAN....Yeah... that's the place I always wanted to go. I want to go there for their shopping and food (probably I saw too much Taiwan variety shows liao, always very curious about their local food and their night market).

In order to have more personal time of enjoyment, I've decided to leave RJ back in Sg with JW and Mary. But to tell you the truth, even though I had a good time shopping and eating but I really missed RJ very much. In fact I was counting down to go back to Singapore to see him, hug him and kiss him.

HOME DECOR - DIY

I'm been a ardent fan of Channel 8's variety show Home Decor...my support always goes to Bryan Wong, he is a very talented person. I loves his DIY. Well I did DIY too in my home...FIXED up my towel holder in my bathroom...borrowed Helen's Black & Decker's Hammer Drill and fixed up the holder (of cos I have my maid to help me lah)...DIY may look simple and easy but it's not...next day I had muscle ache on my arms...

1st Celebration with my University Friends in KL
8th Nov - I celebrated my 1st round of 35th birthday with my friends at my sister's place in USJ...we had a BBQ party. (photos to be updated later)...

2nd Celebration with family in Singapore
12th Nov - JW took me out for a dinner in Sizzlers at Toa Payoh without RJ. Then we later bought a few small cupcakes to celebrate with RJ at home...

3rd Celebration in my Office
13th Nov - My actual day...My colleagues celebrated my birthday in my office...they bought me a green tea cake (cos green tea is my favourite) and I also received a nice white bag from them.

My Immediate Boss's Birthday!!!

We celebrated Helen's birthday at Sun with Moon at Wheelock Place. We bought her a small love shape chocolate truffles as her birthday cake...Had a good meal and nice cute dessert. Hope she enjoys the food as much as we enjoyed it. Once again Happy Birthday Helen!!

Cottage Pie...

Based on Yvonne's recipe I tried making cottage pie. This is my second attempt...Would say taste not bad...sorry picture not so nice cos I didn't put cheese on top cos me dun like cheese....with cheese outlook better...

YEAH...COMPANY TRIP AGAIN (20th December - 26th December 2007)

Wow at 1st when they announce we are going Vietnam...all of us "sian qi pua" (half sian) cos in our mind, Vietnam is a 3rd world country sure not as interesting...I think partly because during mid of the year we received some news saying that we will be going to New Zealand....from NZ all the way to Vietnam...haiz....

Thank God, the management decided to change the place to Taiwan...I've been talking about going Taiwan for the past few year but never go...yeah, now finally can go...Am very excited and looking forward to it....thinking of the shopping, night market and snacks....drooling liao....

Hope that we will have a safe, smooth and enjoyable trip to Taiwan and back to Singapore! Will I'll definetely miss my Darling (heehee...I mean R.J), this will be the 2nd year I didn't spend Christmas with him...but not too bad at least this year RJ will be spending Christmas with papa cos JW is not going with me....
