Taiwan Trip
20th December 2007 - 26th December 2007
Where did I go during that period??? TAIWAN....Yeah... that's the place I always wanted to go. I want to go there for their shopping and food (probably I saw too much Taiwan variety shows liao, always very curious about their local food and their night market).
In order to have more personal time of enjoyment, I've decided to leave RJ back in Sg with JW and Mary. But to tell you the truth, even though I had a good time shopping and eating but I really missed RJ very much. In fact I was counting down to go back to Singapore to see him, hug him and kiss him.
Will go through full details of my trip in the next posting!

HOME DECOR - DIY
I'm been a ardent fan of Channel 8's variety show Home Decor...my support always goes to Bryan Wong, he is a very talented person. I loves his DIY. Well I did DIY too in my home...FIXED up my towel holder in my bathroom...borrowed Helen's Black & Decker's Hammer Drill and fixed up the holder (of cos I have my maid to help me lah)...DIY may look simple and easy but it's not...next day I had muscle ache on my arms...

Hope that we will have a safe, smooth and enjoyable trip to Taiwan and back to Singapore! Will I'll definetely miss my Darling (heehee...I mean R.J), this will be the 2nd year I didn't spend Christmas with him...but not too bad at least this year RJ will be spending Christmas with papa cos JW is not going with me....

MOONCAKE Making Session at Phoon Huat
As mentioned earlier about the mooncake making session...well both Sandy and I went yesterday...Wow...super tired, stand for more than 1.5hrs and hand busy knead flour, weigh and mould...thank God they have someone to help us to do...we made 44 pieces of mooncake each. I made my favourite flavour - green tea and Sandy made lotus. I think worth going cos we go there buy their ingredient, use their mould and they provide manpower to help us...the best thing is that we don't have to clean up the mess after that...YIPEEEEE!!!
OKTOBERFEST 2007
What is Oktoberfest???
Oktoberfest is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September and early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year.
The festival is held on an area named the Theresienwiese (Field [or meadow] of Therese), often called "d’ Wiesn" for short. Beer plays a central role in the fair, with every festival beginning with a keg of beer tapped by the Mayor of Munich who declares "O'zapft is!" (Bavarian: "It’s tapped!"). A special Oktoberfest beer is brewed for the occasion, which is slightly darker and stronger, in both taste and alcohol. It is served in a one-liter-tankard called Maß. The first mass is served to the Bavarian Minister-President. Only local Munich breweries are allowed to serve this beer in a Bierzelt, a beer tent which is large enough for thousands. Note: the words 'stein' and 'lager' do not mean what many English speakers think they do so instead use 'Mass' or 'Helles' respectively
Visitors also consume large quantities of food, most of it traditional hearty fare such as sausage, hendl (chicken), käsespätzle (cheese noodles), and sauerkraut, along with such Bavarian delicacies as roast ox tails.
Am glad that I have a chance to attend Oktoberfest 2007 in Swiss Club, It's indeed an eye opening and fun event to attend. All thanks to my company's banker RZB for inviting me...We drank beer, eat a lot of meat and sausage...yummy yummy sausage...there's also a band playing song where people will form choo choo train and move about. A lot of people also stand on the table and dance....FUN, FUN, FUN

I'm sick...
Poor me after Segamat trip, came back with sore throat, dry cough and flu...could it be too much durian?? But doctor said it's not because of durian but more on common flu.
I had durian on Thurs (kiam siap me bought those 3 for $10), Friday (bought by Helen, Mao San Wang, 1 kg $15) and Saturday (famous Segamat durian). The durian in Segamat was good, I had Kasap Merah, Ang Hay and Kunyit. Bee Chin also bought yummy pineapple tarts for me.
The best of this trip is that I get to meet my family members, not so much on the food and durians. Mum and dad travelled all the way to Segamat to see me and RJ. Am so touched!
The part where we need to entertain RJ on the train ride really strecthed me and make me tired. I think this probably will be the last train ride at the present moment...don't think I want to go through another long journey ride...
Now I pray that I can recover fast and hope that I don't pass the virus to RJ...

Shepherds Retreat
Shepherds' Retreat (6th April 2007)
This year's Shepherds' Retreat was held in Malacca from 6th July 2007 till 8th July 2007. We stayed in the Century Mahkota (behind Mahkota Parade).
I brought RJ and Mary along for this trip. We shared an apartment with Wendy, Jaclyn and Cassandra.
Thank God RJ was quite cooperative throughout the trip. When we had our sharing session, Mary stayed in the apartment with him so that he won't disturb me. He has been a good boy. We had good sharing sessions.
On 7th April (Sat), Bee Lan and Daryl came and join us around 3pm. We went out for satay celup and chendol. In the evening, took RJ for a swim with Daryl and Bee Lan. All of us went out dinner together. Bee Lan and I discover that at Jonkers Street they have a night market which is very interesting. We took them there for makan and shopping...
On 8th April (Sat), Bee Lan took us to somewhere further for breakfast, it's somewhere near Bukit Cina. After that we went to Mahkota Parade to meet Bee Chin...however, both RJ and I didn't spent much time with Bee Chin cos we need to rushed back to check out from our apartment.
For 3 short days I had quite a fruitful trip, I get to taste Malacca Chendol, Chicken Rice ball, Satay Celup, buy Gula Melaka, had a good and cheap high tea in the hotel. Most important is that I had great time of fellowship with my fellow Children workers cum brothers and sisters in Christ (nothing forgetting I get to meet my family members).
